Izzy made a stunning start to her career when going unbeaten through all four rounds of the 5,200 Pat Dunne, Track Vet, Open Unraced stake in Kilkenny.
She won her debut by 5 1/2 lengths in a brilliant 28.98, she won the 2nd round by 6 lengths in 29.18, she won the semi-finals by 7 lengths in 29.29 and ran out a superb winner of the final by 6 lengths in 29.04. In all of her races she showed great early and stayed very strongly.
Izzy was then switched to Shelbourne Park with the Puppy Oaks in mind. She was beaten in a few prep races but made no mistake in the first round proper when winning in the fastest-of-the-round 28.53 by 6 lengths. This was a top class run where all the best b1tch pups in Ireland were running on the night.
She was sent off a red-hot 4/6 favourite for her semi-final but was very badly impeded at the first bend after missing the break.
Izzy returned a week later to run out a great winner of the Puppy Oaks Consolation final as she stayed on very strongly after trouble to win by 2 lengths in 28.58.
She was kept in Ireland for the Oaks proper but paid for the price for an incorrect seeding being put on her and went out in the first round after trouble.
Izzy has only been with us a week but is settling in very well and checked out perfectly with the physio. She is a lovely, well made type and will have all the top b1tch races on her agenda and would definitely stay a soft 6 bend trip already. She will begin her UK qualifying trials in the next couple of weeks.
Izzy is for sale at £10,000
Ballymac Sydney is a stunning looking May 17, 32kg black b1tch by Droopys Sydney x Ballymac Razl.
Sydney is a member of a quite brilliant litter which includes:
Ballymac Tas - recent favourite for the 80k Con Kirby final after producing a stunning 27.97 win in Limerick.
Ballymac Brayden - a winner on debut in Shelbourne Park in a brilliant 18.63.
Ballymac Devon - 28.47 winner in Limerick before being sold to the UK for the English Derby.
Ballymac Syd - flying 28.07 winner in Limerick, made the Con Kirby final before being withdrawn lame.
Patanjali - runner-up in the Night of Stars 750 open when still a baby.
Plus our very own Ballymac Diego who was a brilliant puppy but suffered a shoulder injury, Bravo Kiss, Kingsbrook Glyn and Kerry.
All of this gives Sydney huge value and potential as a brood bitch. Ballymac Razl had in previous litter thrown the likes of Anopheles, Banabane, Ballymac Ramsey, Ballymac Bolger, Ballymac Opinion, Ballymac Defo and Mc Razl which makes her a top brood.
On the track Sydney is an A1 winner at Monmore and has a best time of 28.61. She would probably benefit from a more galloping track,
Sydney is for sale at £6000
